🎪 Our story began more than 25 years ago, when our founder, Kelly, discovered her knack for bringing people together while organizing events at her son’s school. With encouragement from family and friends, she turned that passion into a business, and Carnivals at Heart was born!
What started as a small family venture has grown into an event rental company proudly serving Calgary, Southern Alberta and communities throughout Western Canada.
🎡 Over the years, our collection has grown to include classic carnival games, interactive sports attractions, sports-themed mini putt, authentic Western games, Canada’s only Mechanical Bison 🦬, and the largest collection of Western décor in Western Canada! 🤠
But even as the business has grown, our family values have remained at the centre of it all.
🤝 Trust, communication and shared good times. These values guide how we work together as a family and how we build relationships with our clients. We believe in showing up for one another, keeping our word, lending a hand when it’s needed and finding plenty of reasons to laugh along the way.
👨👩👧👦 Our team includes multiple generations of family, along with the people (and pets! 🐾) who have become part of the Carnivals at Heart family over the years. Everyone brings something different to the table, and everyone plays a part in bringing the fun to life.

Kelly
Kelly started Carnivals at Heart over 25 years ago after discovering a talent for organizing events through her son’s school. Today, she can bring just about any event vision to life. When she’s not working, you’ll find her hiking the forests of BC.
Mark
Kelly’s partner in business and life, there’s nothing Mark won’t do to make your event a success, even if it means crawling into the action. He also runs our mechanical bison, Bad Bettie, so you might want to stay on his good side!
Jaiden
Jaiden is the organizational mastermind behind the scenes. She knows where everything is, what events are coming up and exactly what each one needs. If you’re wondering how we keep track of it all, Jaiden probably knows the answer!
Keith
Ever tried rolling up a giant inflatable castle? It’s not easy! Keith handles some of our heaviest and most delicate equipment with care. From setting up events to making sure everything runs smoothly, his can-do attitude and eye for detail keep everything clean, safe, and ready for fun.
Shaun
Between a full-time career in recreation, reffing Junior A hockey and being a dad of two, Shaun somehow still finds time to help us pull off incredible events. He’s always smiling and can make just about anyone feel welcome.
Max
Max is Shaun’s son, and his very important job is making sure our equipment passes the ultimate test: is it 10/10 fun? He loves working with his family and being on Tonka duty. And he has big plans… one day he plans to take over and rename the business “Max’s Carnivals for Kids.”
Tatanka
Tatanka is Kelly and Mark’s four-legged team member and a familiar face at many of our events. He loves kids, meeting new people and being part of the action. His official duties include accepting pats, keeping an eye on the team and, of course, making everyone smile.
